Charity brainstrust – Why

Does not take long really £250 will save one life.

When I initially thought about which good cause I could raise money for by completing the Channel Swim, my immediate reaction was to think of the large well known charities.

It was then that I was introduced to brainstrust by my colleague Mark Shackelford. When I learned about the organization and after I met with Meg; the catalyst to the creation of the charity, I realized that to this charity my contribution could make a real difference.

If I reach my target of £1000, that’s 4 lives that could be saved. A surprisingly small amount of money can make a huge impact.

All cost will be met by the team out of their own pocket so 100% of your donation goes to Brainstrust. The knowledge of your donations will help me hold off the chills, add light into the darkness and give me the courage to carry on when all I want to do is stop.

I decided to swim the channel because I wanted to combine something I am good at whilst raising funds for this very worthy cause. I can contribute my time and effort to help Brainstrust do the best they can not only by directly helping people with current technologies but also in conducting research in pursuit of better treatment and cure.
